GROWING UP

Oldest of Patrick and Katie’s children, Nadia Taylor was born on July 11, 1990 in New Orleans, Louisiana and has two younger siblings, Nakia and Patrick. She played softball and basketball growing up, and eventually devoted all of her time playing softball. She was always working hard and striving to be the best, as her parents kept her active in lessons weekly. Softball began to get pretty serious for her as she began to play select softball for the Houston Power and Impact Gold Organizations. As a right handed power hitter, Nadia embodied supreme athleticism, which allowed her to become one of the top prospects in her graduating year 2008, when she was a High school All American. In summer of 2004, as a thirteen year old, she began to get an immense amount of college looks. She committed to the University of Texas in eight grade where she knew very young this is where she wanted to play her college career. 

BEING A LONGHORN

      During her four years on the forty acres Nadia was one of the most feared hitters in the Big 12 conference. She played with absolute confidence and was a great teammate, many times giving the team an edge about themselves that they didn't know they had. Nadia Taylor has the most doubles in a season recored, along with being named to the All-Big 12 honors each of her four years. She was also named named NFCA All-Central Region four years, as well as All big 12 Academic selection each year. During her 4 years, Nadia started all 58 of Texas games each year at third base, and in 2009-2010 ranked second in the Big 12 during league play with a .465 batting average, while adding four homers and 14 RBI.

      She ranked second on the club with her .368 batting average and 63 hits ... ranked fourth on the club with 39 runs scored and 18 walks. in 2011 She started all 56 games at third base ... posted a season-best six-game hitting streak from April 22 at Texas Tech to May 1 against No. 14 Oklahoma and 2012 She started in 59 of 60 games with 52 starts at third base ... led the team in doubles (16) and was third on the club with 11 home runs and fourth with a .355 batting average ... tied for most doubles in the Big 12 ... finished ninth among Big 12 players with a .645 slugging percentage ... went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in a 4-2 in over No. 12 Oregon. She also played basketball for the University of Texas having a career night vs Kansas scoring 10 points and playing 25 minutes.
